NBC has put the show on "indefinite hiatus" which means that it is 99% going to be cancelled in May when the network announces their new Fall schedule. We can only wait an pray right now.

Here is an article from Matt Rousch over at TV GUIDE about the show's fate. Read Here

We have some VERY tentative information about a return date for the show from NBC. They are saying that April 12th in the same time slot is where we should look. Again, no word on a second season pickup.

Many people have been reporting that the show has been cancelled. This is false (at least at this point). NBC's publicist has said the show will return for the rest of this season's episodes, but that a season 2 decision has not been made and will depend on the performance of the remaining episodes for this season. So tell a friend and lets push the ratings to above 11-12million!

FULL SEASON PICKUP! Wooohoo! NBC has picked up E-Ring for the entire season. We are gauranteed at least 20 episodes or so. As long as the ratings don't tank, we will see a second season too! I'm really happy about this. Next episode is called "Christmas Story" and it is a great one! It is on December 7th so be sure to tune in.

Ratings. Let's face it. The ratings have been very sub-par thus far. NBC has been unhappy. But the scheduling changes have paid off. The last episode pulled in 10Million viewers. Which is very decent for a new drama. Congrats to the network for sticking with the show and also to the writers for getting thier crap together.

In a recent interview Bratt was quoted as saying the main reason he took the role as JT was because he was able to be close to his family? Uh....lets hope that isn't the only reason he took it. Howabout a great story line and the fact that he is working with one of the greatest drama producers of all time as well as a hall of fame actor Dennis Hopper.

Here is a great article from the New Zealand Herald about the legendary Dennis Hopper. The article notes that although Hopper has aged and roles have come and gone, he still is able to maintain the cult status that propelled him to such heights earlier in his career.
Great read.

Oh! Great! I've seen the first episode!!! All I can say is. . .WOW. Get ready for a 'real' television show! I can see this being the next "must see tv" show. The acting is superb. And although it's only one episode, I think the writing is going to be very strong. I congratulate Bruckheimer on yet another job well done! I might post a spoilers section on the site later, but I kinda don't want to ruin the series premiere for anyone.

A little update on the pilot for you. I have not been able to get my hands on the early release, but i've heard positive things. The pilot was written by David McKenna who also did the movie "S.W.A.T", which was pretty decent. Also, various industry insiders are saying they will have a hard time believing Dennis Hopper as a military man. I honestly don't think I will have a problem with this. He is an amazing actor and I have no doubt he will be completely convincing. Look for a brief Dennis appearance in George A. Romero's "Land of the Dead" out in theatres now!

NBC is losing money, and FAST. In the past year they have gone from the number one position in ad revenues down to last place this year. This is really the first time in awhile the network has found themselves in this situation. The loss of Friends coupled with a plethora of failed new shows has the network worried. How does this relate to our show you ask? Essentially the buzz around the industry is that NBC is putting a lot of their eggs in the E-Ring basket this season. This means ramped up advertisement for the show. Basically NBC is going to do everything in their power to make sure the show is a success. This is GREAT news! I had a good feeling that they were looking to place this show as their new network staple, and this confirms it.

Today was the BIG DAY! The network has announced their line-ups for next year. E-Ring will be playing on Wednesdays at 9 P.M!!!! Woah...that is a HUGE timeslot. NBC must REALLY be in love with the series. Wednesdays at 9 P.M. is where ABC has landed their absolute HIT 'Lost'. This means some SERIOUS competition. If NBC was uncertain about the quality of E-Ring they would not have started it off against such a huge show. This means our show is most likely going to become a staple on the network!!! We will also be competing with 'Criminal Minds' over at CBS, and 'That 70's Show' on Fox. The ratings should be interesting. . .

It is (kinda) official! NBC has given the 'green light' to start hiring a full staff for the show! I expect the next piece of news we hear is from the PR department of NBC.

Hey, thanks to everyone who has sent in e-mail to me! I really appreciate it. There have been some really good questions so I thought I would address them here. Has the show been picked up yet? NO What is the latest update? Things are incredibly positive, rumors are FLYING that NBC LOVES the show! Things are usually pretty tight-lipped over there so this is big news. This pretty much seals the deal that E-Ring will be debuting in September!

have been doing a good amount of research about the show's development and things look really good...I am about 99.99% sure that the show will debut in the fall. However, you can still help the show get picked up by e-mail NBC show development. I know this seems incredibly trivial, but they DO indeed read this stuff (it is actually a JOB at NBC). Send them an e-mail and say "We want to see E-Ring in the Fall!". e-mail them here: nbcshows(at)nbcuni.com

Bruck and NBC have officially released the full cast. We all know about the BIG BOYS Bratt and Hopper, but we also have some neophytes in here too. They havn't been in too much, but i'm guessing they will be a solid compliment. A sucessful show needs a strong supporting cast...Bruck knows this. With no further adeau, here is the full cast for E-Ring: Benjamin Bratt (As Jim Tisnewski) Dennis Hopper (As Colonel McNulty) Leonor Varela (As Cat Rodriguez) Aunjanue Ellis (As Jocelyn Pierce)

Not too much going on lately with the show...alls quiet on the western front. The show is in what tv types call the "Pilot Order". This basically means that it has some promise (yeah obviously) and the network execs. over at NBC ordered a full pilot to watch. So Bruck will put together an amazing first episode and I imagine NBC will pick it up on the spot. Not too many shows by Bruckheimer productions get turned down, especially if its in his powerhouse 'military' genre. So there is definitely a reason to be stoked!

I would just like to say this is the VERY first post and WELCOME to the site! I've put together this site because I am excited about the show. I mean, look at the cast. Benjamin Bratt was superb on Law and Order, and Dennis Hopper, well he is just a brilliant actor. NOT to mention this show is supposed to play out in a similar fashion to 'The West Wing', which is a wonderful show. Oh and did I mention Jerry Bruckheimer? He is brilliant within the military genre (think 'Black Hawk Down') and not too bad with CSI either. All things point to this show being 'one of the greats'. I hope you enjoy everything here, and I am ALWAYS looking for people to help out/become part of the E-ring staff.
